CogniVert is exploring a new approach to digital wellbeing: prompting people to notice automatic scrolling and making time offline more rewarding. We’re seeking investment to investigate feasibility, develop an initial product and evaluate its potential.
Smartphones are useful and enjoyable, yet many people recognise the moment a quick check becomes longer, more automatic scrolling. CogniVert starts with that familiar experience — and asks whether a timely moment of awareness could help people choose what comes next.
The opportunity is not to restrict technology, but to help people notice when intentional use becomes automatic — and to make time offline feel more rewarding.
Where some existing tools focus on preset restrictions or reviewing screen-time patterns afterwards, CogniVert proposes an in-the-moment prompt when scrolling may have become automatic. The person can choose to continue or take a pause — without enforced blocking or judgement.
A proposed system designed to offer a timely prompt during extended scrolling, helping people notice and decide next.

The goal is to create a gentle moment of awareness, not a block or a penalty.
02
Choice is central. No forced restriction, only a timely invitation to reflect.

Two prospective commercial pathways are being explored. Neither is a live business line; pricing and financial assumptions are still being developed.
A consumer subscription is proposed, designed around personal choice and digital wellbeing rather than advertising. Pricing and financial assumptions are still being developed.
A potential white-label corporate wellbeing offering could extend the concept into workplace settings, subject to product development, research and commercial evaluation.
Funding would help move CogniVert through four clearly marked stages, each subject to the one before it. No dates, costs or targets are presented here.
Core experience and business rationale have been outlined.
Investigate whether the proposed approach can be built and assessed.
Develop a testable product, subject to feasibility and funding.
Collaborate with researchers to define appropriate methods and investigate outcomes.
Marketing, accounting and overheads are potential categories, not budget allocations.
No technical feasibility, behaviour-change or clinical outcomes have yet been demonstrated.
Founded by Ella Grace Steward, CogniVert grew from an awareness of how easily digital habits can draw attention away from intentional living — and from hearing others describe similar challenges. The ambition is to explore an encouraging, choice-led approach to digital wellbeing.
CogniVert is seeking conversations with Angel Investors interested in supporting early development, technical exploration and research. If the idea resonates, we’d welcome the opportunity to discuss its potential and what comes next.
